We are leaving Washington with a short visit of the china town.

And into the rain, that hits us from every side on the streets to Annapolis, where we are going now to visit Pablos cousin and family. We presented them to you already, so if you don't remember switch to the previous post.

See, how wet this is?

And here is Annapolis historic downtown, presented on the next sunny, warm day!

Not far away from this place, a bicycle trail was built just to bring us save to our next destination. Well, actually to this point where we wanted to drink a beer, what gives us special speed on that day (somehow).

A few hours later we catch breath on this little area, which is called Fell's Point in Baltimore.

After lunch and beer we had to paddle again, because we really wanted to be at our great hosts in Joppatowne not to late.

Even this nail and his brother nail, who was catched from dodos bike haven't stopped us from paddeling. Just for everyone, who would not have believed us, if we only would have told the story about the giant nails, here is a picture. (Not a photoshop production!)

Thanks to Stephen and his family, we were able to fix our bikes and heading out the next morning with Stephen as a nice great companion.

And here is Delaware! Let us take you very fast to our host in Swarthmore.

Okay here a picture with Pablo eating... interesting... (yaawn)

and here is one with Dodo eating...

But the more interesting fact of the picture above is, that this was taken in the College of Swarthmore, a very beautiful College with its own Amphitheatre.

But we will not forget our host Jonah with his Roommate, two great and funny, friendly and cool students. Greetings to you!

This is a street (well we think that this is a very famous street in Phili (Philadelphia), but we don't know actually), which we had passing on our way to...

New Jersey!  (above a picture in front of a pub, so don't wonder about anything on this picture, for example the state law sign right on the right side of the door).

We will tell you the next time what happend to us in New Jersey and so on. And by the way, sorry that it took so long (again) for us to inform you about our trip.

Bye guys

This is Washington D.C. Part 2, enjoy it.
Washington has a lot of interesting places with a lot of Sights, but one of the most famous is surely the white house, so we are going to start with it now.

We haven't seen Mr. President, but we saw a good alternative. :)  We also have been to the World War II Memorial. In the very background you may can see the Lincoln Monument, later on you will see some pictures.

We run right into a big crowd, with many kites in the air. It was the kite festival going on.

Lincoln Monument,

Washington Monument from the other side:

We wanted to meet Pablos cousin Reina, her husband Florian and their children Caroline and Sophie, which was more than unexpected challenging in the crowd without an mobile phone and only an unspecificied meeting point. But we made it! Thank you all for the great day in Washington.

And this is one of the Bars we visited and enjoyed.

And of course, thank you so much Sara for haveing us the couple of days!

Okay that was Washington, we hope you enjoyed our Posts. The next Posts will be uploaded soon,

Dodo and Pablo

Hey hey,
before we take you to Washington DC, we show you where we spent the night before. It was near King George. After a funny evening with our Hosts we started the long way to Washington DC. This is part 1 out of 2 we will make for the capital of the USA.

The Barn and the horses were just a little part of this long way.

Much later this day, we saw the first sign which told us how far we still had to go. Jiihaah!

And than, after driving through a rough neighbourhood in the southeast of D.C. we saw in a far distance the Washington Monument, telling us that we almost made it.

Much, much closer now, direct in front of the Heart of Washington, the Capitol, we had been told from an ambitious police officer that we are not allowed to let our bicycles unguarded if we leave our things on it. Even our blue matresses, beacause nobody knew what we are hiding in them.

We escaped into a nice little cafe in the near of our host in Washington, to wait for her comeing home from work so that we can enter her apartement and finally get a shower and get rid of our backpacks.

Well done, we started our Washington sightseeing tour with the International Zoo. A nice Zoo with a lot of animals and food stands (of course).

We haven't eat something in the Zoo, we found our food about 5 minutes away on the Adams Morgan street. This it not photoshop, this is the pure reality! 5 Bucks and a lot of quality!

It is also worth to visit the Georgetown University.

A fast look on the clock and... Ups, class is starting in one minute, damn. Hurry up!

But the topic was boring, so we left again.

You see. So through the Healy Hall, out onto the Campus...

with eyes straight onto Washington D.C Downtown. And also to our Washington Post part 2, which we hope to write soon. But this shall it be for the first, greetings and take care you all!

Hey guys, welcome back on our journeypresentation!
We quit with North Carolina at this day, shared with a little bit of rain.

To... Hello Virginia! And Hello Chesapeake to our first hosts. Thank you very much for the stay! It was very awesome to stay at yours, greetings from our final destination!

And from Chesapeake we hit the road again, this time until our destination, also Virginia, Richmond. Yes, we are still run with our bicycles, so don't think we are fast or can hit our record of 84 miles a day! :) Believe us, that is very difficult, wear 40-50 pounds backpacks and still show hills and sometimes headwind a ****you and driving faster and more miles a day.

But then, much more earlier than we had wished we saw the american version of snow in the Marc-April besides the roads, perfectly shown with help of this street arrow.

As you can see, we keep up with the few Bicycle trails along our trip, which are by the way much less than every country should have, and continiued our journey wich the things we spend time and money on. Hey Richmond... In our view a pure ghetto because everything we saw was a ghetto. Sorry about you, the Richmond guys...

Ups, by the way, at the time we entered Richmond we had a new little problem. Dodo's Backwheel spokes were unable to be our fellas all the way again, so a nice but a little bit drunken guy, token right away from a nice irish pub gives us a ride to the next bicycle shop, where we fixed this problem right in time.

Fixing our bikes is everytime a good idea, but do not disturb us from telling you our story. Okay Here we go to...

Washington DC, what comes up the next time, when we will be not drinking and haven't some plans for... Now... Sorry guys, we have to spend a penny later at a bar or something like that. Keep updated, see you later. Stay tuned and keep it easy, greetings from New York City!
